Ascension in Elk Grove Village, IL is hiring a Chaplain to provide compassionate religious and spiritual care within a hospital setting. You will support patients, families, and staff, addressing emotional and spiritual distress while honoring diverse beliefs and cultural backgrounds.

The role includes delivering sacraments and liturgical services, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and mentoring CPE students to foster professional and spiritual growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Theology or related field is required.
• 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE, CPSP, or CPEI) are required.
• Board Certification from APC, NACC, CASC, or NAJC at time of hire or transfer.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Required Credential(s):
• Chaplain obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Board Certification from the APC, NACC, CASC, or the NAJC at time of hire or job transfer.

Education

• Master's degree in Theology, Spirituality, Social Work, Divinity, Philosophy, Servant Leadership, Pastoral Studies or a related field from an accredited school is required. 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by the ACPE, CPEI, or CPSP is required.
