Job summary

Chesapeake Spice Co. is hiring a Spice Blending Technician for the Belcamp, MD facility. The role involves verifying and combining raw ingredients in industrial mixers to produce custom spice blends, followed by packaging the blends into bags, boxes, or super sacks.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Food production experience preferred.
Ability to read batch sheets and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

Verify and dump raw ingredients into mixers based on batch cards and operator direction.
Operate blending and packaging machinery safely and efficiently.
Run out blends into appropriate packaging according to specified weights.
Perform basic quality checks, including visual inspection and product labeling.
Monitor product throughout the blending process to ensure consistent quality.
Follow GMP, HACCP, and company safety procedures.
Clean and sanitize blending equipment and work areas to meet food safety standards.
Support team members in meeting daily production goals.
Other duties as assigned.
