Job summary

Waters-Edge is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to plan, organize, develop and direct Speech Language Pathology services per federal, state, and local guidelines. The role supports two Kenosha facilities with full-time scheduling and PRN options.

Responsibilities include delivering therapy, evaluating data for treatment, creating plans with short- and long-term goals, educating patients and families, and ensuring CMS-aligned documentation in NetHealth EMR.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competency
• MUST have active SLP license in state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification

Responsibilities

• To provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures and productivity standards.
• To evaluate and obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation
• To develop a treatment plan that includes a target list, short-term, and long-term goals
• Instructs patient, family, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures to allow carry over of therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activities
• To complete compliant and medically necessary documentation from CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems
• Oversight and implementation of proper protocols for FEES/MBS with coordination of site programs
• Participants in screening protocols for establishing needs of residents are being met timely and with clinical excellence

Job description

We're hiring for a Speech Therapist SLP to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Speech Language Pathology services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be direction by Administrator, to assure the highest degree of quality resident care is always maintained.

Status: Full-Time with Flexible Scheduling or Per Die/PRN

Location: This position will float between two facilities (Waters Edge Health and Rehab and Sheridan Health and Rehab in Kenosha)
