Job summary

Everstead Health and Rehab is seeking a Speech Therapist (SLP) to plan, organize, develop and direct Speech Language Pathology services in accordance with applicable standards and regulations. This Per Diem/PRN role involves delivering quality therapy, data-driven planning, and education for patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• CCC/clinical competency certification required.
• Active state license in practice location(s) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals as appropriate.
• Evaluate and collect data for treatment planning and progress monitoring.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with clear short- and long-term goals.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on speech-language procedures for carryover.
• Complete CMS-compliant documentation within NetHealth EMR.
• Oversight of FEES/MBS protocols with site coordination.
• Participate in screening to determine residents' needs and ensure timely care.

Education

Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology

Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC)

Everstead Health and Rehab is hiring for a Speech Therapist SLP to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Speech Language Pathology services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be direction by Administrator, to assure the highest degree of quality resident care is always maintained.

Status: Per Diem/PRN

Responsibilities:

• To provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures and productivity standards.
• To evaluate and obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation
• To develop a treatment plan that includes a target list, short-term, and long-term goals
• Instructs patient, family, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures to allow carry over of therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activities
• To complete compliant and medically necessary documentation from CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems
• Oversight and implementation of proper protocols for FEES/MBS with coordination of site programs
• Participants in screening protocols for establishing needs of residents are being met timely and with clinical excellence

Job Education & Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competency
• MUST have active SLP license in state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
