Job summary

Bellway Health and Rehab is hiring a Speech Therapist SLP to plan, organize, develop, and direct speech language pathology services in line with federal, state, and local standards, under the direction of the Administrator, to ensure high-quality resident care.

This full-time or per diem/PRN position requires a Master's in Speech Language Pathology, CCC-SLP, and active licensure. Ongoing CE and professional development are encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • CCC-SLP certification.
  • Active SLP license in state(s) of practice.
  • Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals per standards.
  • Evaluate and obtain data for treatment planning and implementation.
  • Develop treatment plans with target lists, short-term and long-term goals.
  • Instruct patient, family, and staff in speech-language procedures for carryover.
  • Complete CMS-compliant documentation in NetHealth EMR systems.
  • Oversee FEES/MBS protocols with site program coordination.
  • Participate in screening to meet resident needs timely and with clinical excellence.

Job description

Bellway Health and Rehab is hiring for a Speech Therapist SLP to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Speech Language Pathology services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be direction by Administrator, to assure the highest degree of quality resident care is always maintained.

Status: Full-Time FT or Per Diem/PRN

Responsibilities
  • To provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures and productivity standards.
  • To evaluate and obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation
  • To develop a treatment plan that includes a target list, short-term, and long-term goals
  • Instructs patient, family, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures to allow carry over of therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activities
  • To complete compliant and medically necessary documentation from CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems
  • Oversight and implementation of proper protocols for FEES/MBS with coordination of site programs
  • Participants in screening protocols for establishing needs of residents are being met timely and with clinical excellence
Job Education & Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency
  • MUST have active SLP license in state(s) of practice.
  • Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
