Job summary

Redmont Health and Rehab in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Speech Therapist (SLP) to plan and direct Speech Language Pathology services in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. Per Diem/PRN position.

The role requires a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC, and an active state license, with ongoing CEU. Responsibilities include assessments, treatment planning, FEES/MBS oversight, and CMS-compliant documentation in NetHealth EMR.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• CCC certificate and active state licensure required.
• Continuing education to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals as appropriate.
• Evaluate and obtain data for treatment planning and implementation.
• Develop treatment plans with targets, short- and long-term goals.
• Instruct patient, family, and staff in speech-language procedures.
• Complete CMS-compliant documentation in NetHealth EMR.
• Oversee FEES/MBS protocols and site program coordination.
• Participate in screening protocols to meet resident needs.

Job description

Redmont Health and Rehab is hiring for a Speech Therapist SLP to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Speech Language Pathology services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be direction by Administrator, to assure the highest degree of quality resident care is always maintained.

Status: Per Diem/PRN

Responsibilities

• To provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures and productivity standards.

• To evaluate and obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation

• To develop a treatment plan that includes a target list, short-term, and long-term goals

• Instructs patient, family, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures to allow carry over of therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activities

• To complete compliant and medically necessary documentation from CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems

• Oversight and implementation of proper protocols for FEES/MBS with coordination of site programs

• Participants in screening protocols for establishing needs of residents are being met timely and with clinical excellence

Job Education & Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology

• Certificate of Clinical Competency

• MUST have active SLP license in state(s) of practice.

• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
