Nexus Neurorecovery Center – Conroe seeks a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for full-time care on a Monday–Friday schedule in Conroe, TX. The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure, and CCC-SLP/ASHA credentials, with at least two years of experience in diverse clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations.

• Recommend adaptive communication methods or assistive devices when appropriate.

• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
• Follow Nexus policies, HIPAA standards, and safety procedures.
• Use approved de-escalation techniques when needed to maintain safety.

Position Summary

TheSpeech Language Pathologist (SLP) plays a vital role in helping patients rebuild communication, cognitive, andswallowing skillsafter neurological or other complex injuries. As part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, the SLP evaluates patients, develops individualized treatment plans, and provides hands‑on therapy designed to improve independence, safety, and overall quality of life.

This position requires consistency, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with patients who may have cognitive, neurological, behavioral, or complex medical conditions in a structured rehabilitation environment.

Licensure/Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
• Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
• Basic Life Support from American Heart Association/American Red Cross.
• De-escalation training within 30 days after hire.
• Must maintain current certification in good standing during employment with this facility.
