Job summary

Nexus Neurorecovery Center in Conroe, Texas seeks an experienced Neuropsychologist to lead comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and collaborate across interdisciplinary teams in neurorehabilitation.

You will interpret results, develop individualized treatment plans, supervise psychometrists, contribute to program development, and participate in admissions, rounds, and family conferences, while ensuring Texas licensure standards and ongoing professional education.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology.
  • Licensed Psychologist in Texas (or eligible for licensure).
  • Minimum of five years in neuropsychology or related clinical experience.
  • Strong expertise in assessment, cognitive evaluation, and behavioral intervention.
  • Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Experience supervising psychometrists, trainees, or clinical staff preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for patients with acquired neurological conditions.
  • Interpret assessment results and communicate findings to physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Collaborate in developing individualized treatment plans and behavioral interventions.
  • Participate in admissions, treatment team meetings, family conferences, and patient rounds.
  • Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and training for psychologists, psychometrists, interns, graduate students, and fellows.
  • Supervise psychometrists and oversee neuropsychological assessment operations.
  • Complete cognitive and neuropsychological screenings for transitional patients to guide treatment recommendations.
  • Partner with Program Directors to enhance behavioral programming and clinical services.
  • Develop and deliver educational training for clinical and direct care staff.
  • Support new program development, quality improvement initiatives, and special projects.
  • Participate in community outreach, referral development, and professional relationship building.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Texas licensure standards and accreditation requirements.

What You’ll Do

As our Neuropsychologist, you’ll serve as a key clinical leader responsible for neuropsychological assessment, consultation, treatment planning, and clinical oversight across our neurorehabilitation programs.

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology

  • Minimum of five (5) years of neuropsychology or related clinical experience
  • Strong expertise in neuropsychological assessment, cognitive evaluation, and behavioral intervention
  • Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
  • Experience supervising psychometrists, trainees, or clinical staff preferred
