Job summary

HCA HealthONE in Aurora, CO seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to help patients improve communication, cognition, and swallowing. You will work within a supportive rehab team in a well-resourced environment with clear caseloads and efficient workflows.

Responsibilities include evaluating, planning, documenting, patient and family education, and collaboration with physicians and care teams to ensure smooth transitions and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• ASHA CCC-SLP and Colorado state license required; CFY candidates considered with a plan to complete certification within 15 months.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or ARC required.
• Master's or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities using structured assessments and observations.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans to improve communication and safe swallowing.
• Document evaluations, daily notes, progress updates, and discharge summaries accurately.
• Educate patients and families on goals, safety, home strategies, and expected progress.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, rehab, and care managers for coordinated care.
