Job summary

HCA HealthONE Aurora is seeking a Speech Therapist (SLP) to improve patients' communication, cognition, and swallowing through evidence-based care. You will work with a collaborative rehabilitation team in a well-resourced environment, valuing clinical judgment and time management.

The role requires ASHA CCC and Colorado licensure or CFY initiation with ASHA account; BLS certification is also required. Hospital/Rehab experience is preferred, and a CFY candidate is accepted.

Qualifications

• ASHA CCC and Colorado License required; CFY with ASHA account number acceptable.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or ARC required.
• Masters or Doctorate in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Hospital/Rehab experience preferred; CFY accepted.
• Ability to perform evaluations, planning, and test interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities using structured assessments.
• Developing and adjusting individualized treatment plans.
• Documenting evaluations, daily notes, and discharge summaries.
• Educating patients and families on goals, safety, home strategies, and progress.
• Collaborating with physicians, nursing, rehabilitation staff, and care managers.
