Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Irmo is seeking a Speech Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with speech and language challenges in a supportive inpatient setting.

You will develop individualized treatment plans, monitor progress, and adjust approaches as needed, ensuring documentation aligns with regulatory standards. A Master’s degree is preferred, and licensure plus CCC and CPR are required, with opportunities for ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CCC certification required (ASHA) or CCC eligibility.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Master’s degree preferred, or Bachelor’s degree with field experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients to develop personalized speech-language treatment plans.
• Identify issues and modify therapy approaches as needed.
• Track, document, and report patient progress and outcomes.
• Celebrate patient victories and progress along the rehabilitation journey.
