Job summary

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, PA, seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to perform and document initial and ongoing patient assessments, design and implement plans of care, and educate families about treatment progress.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
  • Current licensure with KY Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a plan of care in collaboration with patient and family.
  • Educate and counsel patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.

Position Summary:

Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition. Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient and family. Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress. Plans and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services. Supervises activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology Required
  • Licenses: Licensed Speech Therapist; Current licensure with KY Board of Speech
  • Language Pathology & Audiology
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire
