Job summary

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, PA, seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to perform and document initial and ongoing patient assessments, design and implement plans of care, and educate families about treatment progress.

The role includes discharge planning for therapy services and supervising clinical fellows, students, and support staff, contributing to a collaborative, patient-centered care team.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Current licensure with KY Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document initial and ongoing assessments of patients' condition.
• Design and implement a plan of care in collaboration with patient and family.
• Educate and counsel patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
• Plan and assist with patient discharge from therapy services.
• Supervise clinical fellows, students, and support personnel.
