Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA is seeking a Level 2 PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and coordinate consultations and assessments.

The role involves supervising rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers, and may include orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff to ensure high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduate school (Required).
• CCC - Clinical Speech Pathologist from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (Required).
• Licensure by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Speech/Langugage Pathology (Required).
• BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA or ARC (Required).

Responsibilities

• Provides speech-language pathology services by coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations for patients with communication disorders and/or dysphagia.
• Interprets assessment data and plans/t performs treatment interventions to restore function and prevent disability.
• Provides patient care across all ages from neonate to geriatric.
• Supervises rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers; may orient and guide assigned staff.

Responsibilities

Provides speech-language pathology services by coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia; and interpreting assessment data; planning and performing speech-language pathology treatment intervention programs when appropriate that restore function, prevent disability and help patients reach maximum potential. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric. Responsible for the supervision of rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers. May be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.
