Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown is seeking a Speech Pathologist to support patients in overcoming speech and communication challenges within a hospital setting. You will evaluate, develop, and administer personalized treatment plans, ensuring progress and adjusting therapy as needed, all while documenting patient outcomes.

The role requires licensure and CCC, with CPR needed within 30 days of hire; a Master’s degree is preferred or a Bachelor's with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• Successful completion of Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Master’s degree preferred, or Bachelor's degree with field experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, assessing, developing, and administering personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Identifying issues and modifying speech therapy treatment if necessary.
• Tracking and documenting patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
