Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown is seeking a Speech Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with speech and language needs in a supportive inpatient setting. You will develop personalized plans and track progress, contributing to meaningful patient outcomes.

The role requires current licensure, CCC-SLP certification, and CPR either on hire or within 30 days; a Master’s degree is preferred, or Bachelor’s with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• Successful completion of CCC (CCC-SLP) required.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Master’s degree preferred, or Bachelor’s degree with field experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, assessing, developing, and administering personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Identifying issues and modifying speech therapy treatment if necessary.
• Tracking and documenting patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
