Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown is seeking a Speech Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with speech and language disorders. You will design and administer personalized therapy plans, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatments as needed in a supportive inpatient setting.

The role requires state licensure, CCC certification, CPR (or within 30 days of hire), and a master’s degree preferred (or bachelor’s with field experience).

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• Successful completion of CCC (Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence).
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Master’s degree preferred, or Bachelor's degree with field experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, assessing, developing, and administering personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Identifying issues and modifying speech therapy treatment if necessary.
• Tracking and documenting patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.

Education
