Responsibilities

  • Teach 24 credits per academic year (4 courses per semester).
  • Teach SLP courses to graduate and undergraduate students in various formats (in-person, hybrid, online).
  • Approximately half of the load to core SLP courses.
  • Undergraduate/graduate clinical supervision of practicums on campus or at RiteCare Clinic.
  • Academic advising and mentoring.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, local school district, and partner institutions to prepare speech-language pathologists.
  • Participate in service within the School of Education, Nevada State University, and community.
  • Engage in scholarly activity within your discipline or scholarship of teaching and learning.

Education

Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication and Hearing Sciences or closely related field
ABD considered with expected completion by 2026-12-31 for Spring 2027 or 2027-06-30 for Fall 2027
CCC-SLP
Eligible for Nevada State Licensure
Ability to work effectively with diverse communities
Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship
