Job summary

SPG Therapy & Education is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join a clinician-led team in a school-based setting. You will assist in service delivery, maintain equipment, prepare materials, and support the supervising SLP with screenings and data.

This role emphasizes professional growth through conferences and coursework, onsite work, and access to in-house training, with comprehensive benefits and a clear path to licensure in California.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree from a speech-language pathology assistant program or Bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology.
  • Current CA SLPA license or eligibility.
  • Fingerprint background clearance.
  • TB clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating service delivery schedule.
  • Perform checks and maintenance of equipment, including augmentative communication devices.
  • Provide clerical support (preparing charts, records, graphs, and data).
  • Prepare and arrange materials for speech therapy activities as planned by supervising SLP.
  • Conduct speech-language screenings using screening protocols developed by SLP supervisor.
  • Follow and implement documented treatment plans or protocols developed by a supervising SLP.
  • Provide speech-language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
  • Document client progress toward meeting established objectives/goals.
  • Pursue professional growth through conferences, workshops, and coursework.

Education

Associate’s degree in SLPA
Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Pay Range: $43-53 per hour

Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Associate’s degree from a speech-language pathology assistant program or Bachelor's degree program in speech-language pathology
  • Completion of required field work experience
  • Current CA SLPA license or eligibility
  • Fingerprint background clearance
  • Tuberculosis (TB) clearance
  • Settings Available: Onsite; School
