St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat individuals with voice, fluency, speech, language and swallowing disorders at our Bethlehem campus.

The role emphasizes quality patient care, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration within Rehab teams. The position requires CCC-SLP, state licensure in PA or NJ based on location, and active CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program.
  • CCC-SLP certification.
  • Current PA or NJ Speech Pathology license.
  • BLS certification required on hire or within 30 days.
  • CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality care in the evaluation and treatment of voice, fluency, speech, language, and swallowing impaired patients.
  • Documents evaluation and treatment efforts as well as patient response to treatment in accordance with established professional guidelines.
  • Bills patient’s accounts for equipment and services rendered.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, staff members, physicians and referral sources.
  • Maintains and upgrades clinical skills by participating in continuing education activities, shares knowledge with peers.
  • Participates in patient care conferences (e.g., Rehab team) as needed, departmental programs, in-services, and departmental and section meetings.
  • Participates in Quality Improvement activities in the Department and the hospital.
  • Demonstrates productivity in terms of volume of patients seen for speech pathology services.
