Qualifications

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required.
  • State license to practice in Pennsylvania or New Jersey, based on work location.
  • BLS certification required upon hire or within 30 days.
  • Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provides evaluation and treatment for voice, fluency, speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Documents evaluation and treatment progress according to professional guidelines.
  • Bills for equipment and services rendered.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, staff, physicians and referrals.
  • Maintains and upgrades clinical skills through continuing education.
  • Participates in care conferences, departmental programs and meetings.
  • Engages in Quality Improvement activities within the department and hospital.
  • Demonstrates productivity via patient volume for speech pathology services.
