Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with voice, fluency, speech, language and swallowing disorders. The role emphasizes documentation, collaboration with the rehab team and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities include patient care, billing, interdepartmental communication and active participation in quality improvement activities, with licensure and certifications as required.

Qualifications

• Doctoral or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited institution.
• BLS certification required upon hire or within 30 days of hire.
• Current SLP license in Pennsylvania or New Jersey based on work location.
• CCC-SLP certification is required.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat individuals with voice, fluency, speech, language and swallowing disorders.
• Document evaluation and treatment progress per professional guidelines.
• Bill and code for equipment and services rendered.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, physicians and referrals.
• Maintain clinical skills through continuing education and peer knowledge sharing.
• Participate in care conferences, departmental programs and meetings.
• Contribute to quality improvement activities within the department and hospital.
• Demonstrate productivity by patient volume in speech pathology services.
