Job description

Join our team as a Speech‑Language Pathologist in Dothan, AL at a skilled nursing facility. Provide evaluation and treatment for communication and swallowing disorders in a post‑acute care setting. This opportunity is for a temporary or permanent SLP with a guaranteed 35 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or equivalent experience.
  • Active Alabama state SLP license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification may be required from AHA or ARC.
  • Experience working in skilled nursing or long‑term care settings preferred.
  • Experience with dysphagia management, modified barium swallow studies, and common geriatric diagnoses preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in skilled nursing facilities or post‑acute care environments.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records used in long‑term care settings.
  • Strong documentation and interdisciplinary communication skills.
Assignment Details
  • Guaranteed 35 hours per week.
  • Temporary or permanent placement options available.
  • Facility may request resume submission to begin credentialing.

Impacting Patient Care
