Responsibilities

• Maintains a patient caseload of at least 5 patients per day.
• Evaluates patients according to departmental standards.
• Counsels patients and/or families according to departmental standards.
• Completes patient reports within specified time frames.
• Supervises staff speech therapists for difficult cases and evaluates those beyond their competencies.
• Prepares and executes in-service program for hospital staff.
• Coordinates swallowing services and establishes swallowing evaluation/treatment procedures.
