Job Overview

Ensure the highest quality of care by providing therapy services to patients, adhering to federal, state, local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility.

Essential Job Functions
  • Conduct evaluations and identify equipment needs related to speech/language functions.
  • Identify speech defects and develop a care plan to improve patient function.
  • Administer speech therapy using specialized techniques and equipment.
  • Recommend communication devices as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and staff to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Participate in meetings, case conferences, and in-services.
  • Document notes according to organizational policy.
  • Maintain clinical competency in speech-language pathology.
  • Identify and refer patients/families to additional services as needed.
  • Follow all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Current and valid therapy license in the state of employment.
  • Degree from an approved Master’s program in Speech-Language Pathology, including an internship.
  • Meet requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA).
  • At least one year of clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, organized.
  • Familiarity with computer use, including programs, files, apps, and internet; experience with Apple devices is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with insured vehicle; some travel may be required.
  • Ability to perform job functions with or without accommodations.
