Job summary

Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital - Madison, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for our inpatient rehab facility in Madison, MS. This PRN role focuses on evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders to support recovery and communication.

The role requires a Master’s degree in SLP, current SLP licensure with ASHA certification, CPR, and preferred experience in acute or rehab settings.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.

• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

How you'll contribute

The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, supporting patient recovery and communication improvement.

Essential Functions

• Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Strong communication skills and clinical judgement required.
• Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Experience: Experience in acute or rehab setting preferred.
• License: Current SLP license and ASHA certification.
