Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Phelps Health Outpatient Therapy Services in Waynesville, MO. This full-time day position runs Monday through Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

Join a fast-paced, supportive team dedicated to pediatric to adult rehabilitation. You will assess, plan, educate, and discharge patients while collaborating with family members and clinical staff.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist by the State Board.
  • BLS certification within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
  • Designs and implements a plan of care involving patient and family.
  • Educates patients and families on treatment plans and progress.
  • Plans or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.
  • Supervises clinical fellows, students and support personnel.

Phelps Health Outpatient Therapy Services located in Waynesville Mo, is a full-service rehabilitation center for pediatric patients, adolescents and adults, including physical, occupational and speech therapy. We serve Waynesville and the surrounding communities in south-central Missouri. Bioness - Award-winning medical devices designed to benefit people with stroke, Multiple sclerosis (MS), traumatic brain injury (TBI), cerebral palsy and spinal cord injury. Our Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow!

What we're looking for

We are looking for a dynamic Speech Language Pathologist who is passionate about helping others and is a team player!

What will you do in this role
  • Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
  • Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient and family.
  • Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
  • Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.
  • Supervises activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology Required
  • Licenses: Licensed Speech Therapist; Current licensure with State Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire
