Phelps Health Waynesville, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Rehabilitation Technician for a full-time days position. Located in Waynesville, MO, this outpatient therapy service supports pediatric to adult patients with physical, occupational and speech therapy.

The role involves preparing and cleaning treatment areas, transporting patients, assisting therapists, managing supplies, and performing clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum six months experience in an acute or long-term facility preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and clean treatment areas and equipment.
• Position patients and assist therapists.
• Procure and inventory therapy supplies.
• Transport and assist patients within the facility.

Phelps Health Waynesville located in Waynesville, MO is an Outpatient facility Therapy Service is a full-service rehabilitation center for pediatric patients, adolescents and adults, including physical, occupational and speech therapy. We serve Rolla, Waynesville and the surrounding communities in south-central Missouri. Our Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow!

What you will do in this role

The Rehab Tech is responsible for preparing treatment areas, cleaning treatment areas, positioning patients, procurement and inventory of supplies, transporting, and assisting patients and therapist.

• Ability to Transport, lift, transfer, move and reposition patients in the patient room, Therapy Gym and other common areas of the hospital.
• Prepares patient for prescribed treatment and assists professional staff with patient treatment.
• Prepares, cleans and maintains treatment areas and equipment.
• Procures and keeps an accurate inventory of all therapy supplies.
• Performs routine clerical tasks for Therapy Department.
• Other duties as assigned.
