Job summary

Empath Home Health is seeking a caring PRN Speech Language Pathologist to serve patients in the Ocala, FL area. You will provide skilled speech therapy in patients’ homes, complete assessments, and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the team.

Eligible candidates have ASHA CCC requirements, an active Florida SLP license, and at least 1 year of SLP experience (home health preferred). The role offers flexible scheduling and meaningful, mission-driven care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited college program that meets ASHA requirements for certification or in the process of accumulating supervised experience.
• Active Florida SLP license
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an SLP; home health experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient-education skills

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in accordance with physician orders, plan of care, and regulatory standards.
• Complete initial and ongoing patient assessments, including required OASIS assessments.
• Develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families on swallowing safety, dietary consistency, and communication strategies.
• Support cognitive, sensory-motor, language, and memory development through individualized interventions.
