Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist for Van Buren, AR. The role focuses on 1:1 patient care in home settings, delivering speech and language therapy with independent practice and team support.

The position requires a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, an active state license, and BLS/CPR certification. The Home Health SLP will provide patient-centered care, document progress, and collaborate with caregivers and the healthcare team in a supportive environment

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum of one year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist by the practicing state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their speech or language difficulties and determine therapy needs.
• Teach patients how to produce sounds and improve voice quality.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, when speech is limited.
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises to support progress outside sessions.
• Document progress and clinical notes and submit visit documentation per Agency policy.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist , You will:

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
