Job summary

Adoration Health seeks a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our Home Health team in IL. You will provide patient-centered, 1:1 therapy in patients' homes, helping them communicate effectively and improve quality of life.

The role supports flexible PRN scheduling and collaboration with a supportive team, with opportunities for growth as we expand services for patients and families in need.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the practicing state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' speech or language levels to determine the need for therapy.
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, when needed.
• Educate healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers on exercises to support progress.
• Document progress and submit visit notes per agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
