Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our Home Health team in Fayette, AL. This PRN role focuses on patient-centered care delivered in home settings, with support from a collaborative clinical team.

You will assess and treat speech and language disorders, teach compensatory strategies, and educate families to sustain progress between visits. Candidates must hold an active state license and BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted state license for practice.
• Current BLS or CPR certification as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech/language needs and determine continued therapy.
• Teach articulation and voice improvement techniques.
• Teach alternative communication methods (e.g., sign language) as needed.
• Educate healthcare team and caregivers to support progress outside sessions.
• Document progress and submit visit notes per agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
