Job summary

Adoration Health in Auburn, AL seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for Home Health on a part-time basis. You will provide 1:1 patient care, assess and treat speech and language disorders, and collaborate with families and healthcare teams to improve communication outcomes.

The role emphasizes flexible scheduling, independence with team support, and opportunities for growth within a growing company.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• At least 1 year of work experience as an SLP.
• Current, unrestricted license as an SLP by the practicing state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech or language difficulty and determine therapy needs.
• Teach patients to produce sounds and improve voice quality.
• Teach alternative communication methods (e.g., sign language) as needed.
• Educate healthcare team, patients, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises to support progress.
• Document progress and submit visit notes per agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
