Job summary

Adoration Health, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is seeking a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to deliver 1:1 patient care in Centre, AL. PRN schedule with flexible options allows autonomy and team support within a growing home health practice.

You will assess speech and language needs, teach vocalization techniques, document progress, and collaborate with caregivers and the health team to plan care that suits each patient. Licensure and relevant experience required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted state licensure as an SLP.
• Current BLS/CPR certification as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' speech or language abilities and determine therapy needs.
• Teach sounds and voice improvement techniques.
• Instruct alternative communication methods when needed.
• Educate healthcare team and caregivers to support progress outside therapy sessions.
• Document progress and complete visit notes per agency policy.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist, You will:

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
