Job summary

LLA Therapy in Northeast Ohio seeks a Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist for after-school hours. You will conduct evaluations, design and deliver therapy, monitor progress, and train families on individualized treatment plans.

The role emphasizes collaboration with families and school partners, with a focus on effective communication and patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Ohio licensure to practice Speech-Language Therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations on assigned patients.
  • Design individualized treatment plans and materials to match patient profiles.
  • Provide therapy according to plan and monitor progress.
  • Document, monitor, and analyze progress and effects of treatment.
  • Educate families and provide training on treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with family and other professionals (physician, school).
  • Create and submit all reporting with recommendations.

Essential Accountabilities for the Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations on assigned patients.
  • Design individualized treatment plans and materials to match the patient’s unique learning profile.
  • Provide therapy according to the treatment plan while monitoring progress and adjusting therapy.
  • Document, monitor, and analyze the patient’s progress and effects of treatment.
  • Communicate, educate, and provide family training on the patient’s individualized treatment plans.
  • Consult and collaborate with family and other staff or supports (i.e., physician, school district, other therapies).
  • Create and submit all reporting, including appropriate recommendations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Current licensure to practice Speech Language Therapy within the state of Ohio
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • Must be proficient in English; reading, comprehending and understanding the English language.
  • Completed FBI and BCI background check (can be completed upon hire)
  • Professional Liability Insurance, recommended by governing body.
  • Positive and goal oriented, willing to accept the challenge of new assignments and be able to work well with others.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on teamwork, customer service, and safe working practices.
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations.
