Job summary

Select Medical in Cleveland, OH seeks a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to perform comprehensive evaluations and provide goal-oriented treatment for post-ICU patients in our inpatient rehab setting.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based therapies, monitor service quality, and contribute to program development. Required: state licensure; BLS within 90 days; CCC preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
• CCC in Speech Language Pathology from ASHA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive evaluation of communication skills and/or swallowing function and goal-oriented treatment.
• Collaborate with Rehab Therapy Department to monitor quality of services and participate in peer reviews.
• Assist in development of the SLP program, revise policies and procedures, and maintain supplies.

• Participates in peer review for staff performance and appraisals.
• Assists in the development of the SLP role in programs and services, as well as revising the departmental policies and procedures.
• Assists in maintaining an adequate stock of supplies.
• Exhibits willingness to share professional knowledge and experience. Alerts the Manager to educational needs

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association.
