Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver pediatric therapy in home or daytime clinics. You will assess, diagnose, and treat a range of speech, language, voice, and feeding disorders, coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has a Master's in SLP, CCC-SLP, Texas licensure, and pediatric/home-health experience; bilingual Spanish is a plus. Competitive full- and part-time benefits are offered.

• CCC-SLP certification and completion of Clinical Fellowship year.
• Licensed to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy to patients 0–21 in home or day facility, 2+ visits weekly.
• Assess speech, language, voice, feeding, and related disorders using appropriate tests.
• Interpret data and write diagnostic reports for multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate with the team to set goals and deliver therapy modalities.
• Plan and adjust care to meet therapy goals and outcomes.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and sessions.
• Supervise Clinical Fellows or assistants with sufficient experience.

Requirements:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
