Job summary

Avante at Mt. Dora Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide and direct SLP services for residents, including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, documentation, and communication under physicians' orders.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure or eligibility, and 0–3 years in long-term care, with AHCA background screening and a commitment to quality resident care.

• Design and execute appropriate treatment plans.

Qualifications:

• Ability to assess residents with communications and swallowing disorders.
• Ability to interpret and communicate results of assessments.
• Ability to design and execute appropriate treatment plans.
• Ability to document daily care as per established guidelines.

Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for S.L.P.
• Current state licensure or license eligible.
• 0-3 years of long term care experience.

Background Screening Requirement:

This position requires background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
