Job summary

Avante at Melbourne Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide and direct SLP services, including assessment, treatment planning, implementation, documentation, and interdisciplinary communication. Physicians' orders guide care in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for S.L.P.
• Current state licensure or license eligible.
• 0–3 years of long term care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct Speech-Language Pathologist services to residents.
• Assess residents with communications and swallowing disorders.
• Plan and implement appropriate treatment programs.
• Document daily care per established guidelines.
• Communicate assessment results to physicians and care teams.
