Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Canton, SD is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to administer evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy to clients with speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing disorders in post-acute, long-term care, or home health settings as applicable.

You will document according to departmental guidelines, maintain quality standards, and may supervise assistants or students while collaborating with providers and case managers to promote comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state(s) of practice.
• Appropriate education level required per state licensure.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA) or CFY status may be preferred.
• Valid driver’s license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Administers speech and language evaluations, tests or examinations and plans treatment.
• Provides speech-language services and monitors progress; adjusts treatments as needed.
• Ensures documentation and regulatory compliance; may supervise assistants or students.
