Job summary

SANANTONIONORTH seeks a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with the healthcare team. The role includes training staff and ensuring documentation compliance.

Responsibilities also include supervising CFY/Students, communicating with families, physicians, and nursing staff, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the rehabilitation program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology; Masters/Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed as a Speech Therapist in the state; maintain license in good standing.
• CPR certification if required by licensure.
• Proficient with EHR systems such as Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs per physician orders.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve function.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on goals and home programs.
• Supervise CFY Speech Clinical Fellows and students when applicable.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation per regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team.
