Recover-Care Heartland in Emporia, KS is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents with speech, hearing, swallowing, and cognitive disorders under physician direction. You will develop care plans, administer tests, and educate families on home practice while adhering to state and federal guidelines.

The role requires a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology, active licensure, and clinical competency certification, with one year of experience

Formación

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Current license as Speech-Language Pathologist as required by state law.
• Certification in clinical competency.
• One-year clinical experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Under a physician’s direction, provides direct patient/resident treatment based on established plan of care.
• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate care plans.
• Plans, directs, or conducts rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Instructs residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and practice new skills.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with policy and regulations.
• Maintains patient records accurately and timely.
• Devises special tools and treatments for patient needs.

Educación
