Responsibilities

• Performs individualized evaluations and designs goal-directed interventions to improve cognitive function, swallow safety, and communication.
• Develops and implements treatment plans using problem-solving skills and clinical reasoning; serves as a resource to staff and students.
• Documents care clearly and concisely, in line with departmental, KSHA and ASHA guidelines and payer requirements.
• Follows departmental policies, procedures, and standards; meets state continuing education requirements.
• Provides supervision for rehabilitation technicians and may supervise speech-language pathology students.
