Job summary

Midwest Health in Kansas seeks a Speech Pathologist to assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice and swallowing disorders. You will evaluate patients within one business day of referral and design personalized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing function.

You will collaborate with physicians and the rehab team, maintain daily records including billing, and provide staff education while adhering to facility policies and safety

Qualifications

• Must meet recognized standards of professional education and qualifications.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and other related disorders.
• Evaluate patients within one business day of referral and plan appropriate treatment.
• Communicate with referring physicians and rehabilitation team about the patient’s total treatment program.
• Maintain an accurate daily record of treatments, billing and charting.
• Follow weekly documentation guidelines and provide in-service education to staff.
