Job summary

Recover-Care Heartland is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. The role involves developing individualized treatment plans and delivering direct patient care under physician direction.

Responsibilities include administering speech tests, educating families and caregivers, maintaining documentation, and ensuring care plans meet state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required.
• Proficiency with applicable state, federal and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
• Provide direct patient treatment under physician direction based on care plan.
• Develop care plans and screen residents for appropriate rehabilitation.
• Administer, score, and interpret specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on practice of new skills.
