Qualifications

• Masters or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• State licensure as a speech-language pathologist required.
• Proficiency with applicable state, federal, and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, hearing, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
• Under physician direction, provide direct patient treatment per plan of care.
• Screen residents and develop appropriate care plans.
• Direct rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communication and swallowing function.
• Administer, score, and interpret hearing and speech tests.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers to practice new skills.
• Complete forms and documents per policy and regulations.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
• Devise tools and treatments for individual patient needs.
