Job summary

Santa Monica Healthcare Center is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to screen, evaluate and treat residents within established plans of care. You will administer specialized tests and work on functional swallow techniques while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualified candidates hold a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, CA licensure, and a Clinical Competency certification, with about one year of clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Certification in Clinical Competency.
• Current license to practice Speech-Language Pathology issued by the state of California.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
