Job summary

Almaden Health and Rehabilitation Center in San Jose, CA, is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). You will screen residents, develop care plans, and provide direct treatment within established protocols.

The ideal candidate holds a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, California licensure, and a Clinical Competency Certification; one year of experience is preferred. A sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• California license to practice required.
• Certification in Clinical Competency is required.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
