Job summary

Almaden Health and Rehabilitation Center is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dedicated clinical team in California. The role includes evaluating residents, developing care plans, and delivering direct treatment within established guidelines.

A California license and Clinical Competency certification are required. The position offers a competitive salary range of $104,000 to $124,800 per year with a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Certification in Clinical Competency.
• Current California licensure to practice SLP.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate residents and develop plan of care.
• Provide direct resident treatment per established plan.
• Administer, score, and interpret hearing and speech tests.
• Assist residents with functional swallow techniques.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Complete required forms per policy and regulations.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Entry Qualifications and Skills:

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Certification in Clinical Competency.
• Current license to practice Speech-Language Pathology issued by the state of California.
