Job summary

Hayward Hills Healthcare Center is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat residents within an established care plan, delivering direct therapy per guidelines. The position also offers a sign-on bonus and a supportive work environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, is licensed in California, and has 1 year of clinical experience; certification in Clinical Competency is preferred. PTO and referral bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• California license to practice SLP required.
• Certification in Clinical Competency preferred.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops care plans.
• Provides direct resident treatment per care plan.
• Administers, scores, and interprets speech tests.
• Works with residents on functional swallow techniques.
• Mantains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms per policy and regulations.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Entry Qualifications and Skills:

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Certification in Clinical Competency.
• Current license to practice Speech-Language Pathology issued by the state of California.
